Spinal Decompression
Therapy

Gentle, targeted relief for neck and back pain. Helping you move freely and live well.

The Treatment

What is Spinal Decompression?

Spinal decompression is a gentle, non-surgical therapy that creates negative pressure within the spinal discs, allowing bulging or herniated discs to retract and promoting the flow of nutrients, oxygen, and healing fluids back into the affected area.

It is a safe, effective, and drug-free approach to relieving pain caused by disc injuries, nerve compression, and degenerative conditions. At Lifetime Chiro, we use spinal decompression as part of a holistic care plan tailored to your body and goals.

Neck and Upper Spine

Cervical Spinal Decompression

Cervical decompression targets the neck and upper spine, gently stretching the cervical vertebrae to relieve pressure on compressed discs and pinched nerves.

It is particularly effective for headaches, neck stiffness, arm numbness or tingling, and conditions such as cervical disc herniation or cervical radiculopathy.

At Lifetime Chiro, our gentle approach ensures you feel comfortable and supported throughout each session.

Lower Back

Lumbar Spinal Decompression

Lumbar decompression focuses on the lower back, one of the most common areas of spinal pain and disc injury. By gently distracting the lumbar vertebrae, this therapy reduces pressure on intervertebral discs and the surrounding nerves.

It provides significant relief for conditions like sciatica, lumbar disc herniation, degenerative disc disease, and chronic lower back pain.

Our patients often describe feeling an immediate sense of relief and lightness following their sessions.

Spinal decompression is a gentle, non-surgical therapy designed to relieve pressure on the spinal discs and surrounding nerves. It works by creating negative pressure within the discs, which may help bulging or herniated discs retract while encouraging nutrients, oxygen, and healing fluids to return to the affected area.

Spinal decompression may help with conditions such as herniated discs, bulging discs, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerves, chronic lower back pain, neck pain, headaches, and arm or leg numbness or tingling.

No. Spinal decompression is gentle and non-invasive. Most patients find the treatment comfortable and relaxing, and some describe feeling relief or lightness after their sessions.

Spinal decompression is a non surgical therapy that gently stretches the spine to relieve pressure on compressed or herniated discs. It can help with chronic back pain, sciatica, and disc related conditions. We are one of the few practices in the Kenmore area offering this service, and it pairs well with chiropractic adjustments for lasting relief.

Spinal decompression is a drug-free, non-surgical option for people dealing with certain spine-related pain and disc issues. At Lifetime Chiro, it is used as part of a personalized care plan based on your body, condition, and health goals.

Spinal decompression gently stretches the spine in a controlled way. This helps reduce pressure inside the spinal discs and may allow compressed nerves and irritated tissues to calm down.

You may be a good candidate if you have neck pain, low back pain, sciatica, disc bulges, herniated discs, pinched nerves, or numbness and tingling in the arms or legs. A consultation helps determine if decompression is right for your specific condition.

The number of sessions depends on your condition, symptoms, health history, and goals. At Lifetime Chiro, your care plan is personalized to your body and your progress.

Yes, lumbar spinal decompression may help relieve pressure on the nerves that contribute to sciatic pain. This may reduce lower back pain, leg pain, numbness, or tingling related to nerve compression.

Yes, cervical spinal decompression may help with neck pain, stiffness, headaches, and arm numbness or tingling caused by compressed discs or pinched nerves in the neck.

Spinal decompression is a non-surgical and drug-free therapy that is gentle for many patients. Your chiropractor will review your health history and condition first to make sure it is appropriate for you.

Most patients describe spinal decompression as comfortable and relaxing. You may feel a gentle stretching sensation in your neck or lower back during the session.

Spinal decompression is similar to traction, but it is more controlled and targeted. The goal is to gently reduce pressure on specific spinal discs and nerves.

For some people, spinal decompression may be a helpful non-surgical option before considering more invasive care. Every case is different, so your chiropractor will help determine the best approach for your condition.

The best way to know is to schedule a consultation. Lifetime Chiro will evaluate your symptoms, spine, and goals to determine whether cervical or lumbar decompression may be a good fit for your care plan.
